I had a blast designing this piece. As an extremely talented musician and custom bass/guitar builder, when Rick asked me to do a "bass clef" and something "space-y," I knew I had to nail it with a really awesome, music-inspired, trippy, science-y design. On the right hand side is a nebula in the shape of a Bass clef, with sound waves shooting out of it and over top of an oscilloscope, a device used to measure sound waves.  thanks for looking!

I got to make this tattoo rather spontaneously at the Wilmington Ink and Arms convention for my new friend Dana. She sat for an incredible 7 hours and we ended up taking home tattoo of the day for it! This piece was so much fun for me. I loved combining the realistic detail with graphic pops of dramatic color.

I absolutely love mythology, Norse Mythology in particular being one that I am extremely fascinated with. In this image, the hand of Tyr is battling Fenrir, who is breaking the chains at Ragnarok. I really hope to get to do more pieces like this in the future!
