this was a completely impromptu tattoo, and the watercolor was drawn on. We were both pleasantly surprised by the outcome.
I had a blast designing this piece! Matt originally wanted a simple, clip-art style guitar on his side, but after discussing it, he was willing to let me create something much more trippy and fun! I love combining realism with fantasy, and merging into the realm of surreal. Thanks for looking!
I had a blast designing this piece. As an extremely talented musician and custom bass/guitar builder, when Rick asked me to do a "bass clef" and something "space-y," I knew I had to nail it with a really awesome, music-inspired, trippy, science-y design. On the right hand side is a nebula in the shape of a Bass clef, with sound waves shooting out of it and over top of an oscilloscope, a device used to measure sound waves. thanks for looking!
I absolutely LOVE tattooing animals. Please send me all your pet ideas, or spirit animals, or anything inspired by nature and furry or winged creatures!

Fun little piece on side, done at Bodyworks Studio in Pittsburgh 2015.
We decided to incorporate a lot of different symbols and cultural/mythological references into this one. Has a lot of all my favorite elements; birds, intricate geometry, Paganism, loose, rich splashes of color, and some illustrated realism.
